Intentional Torts (Battery): Question 4

Sally is driving in the middle lane of a busy, three-lane roadway, when she suddenly realizes she needs to turn right at the next intersection. She hastily moves into the right lane without signaling and without checking behind her, and cuts off Joe, who is forced to slam on his brakes to avoid colliding with Sally. Sally and Joe come to a stop at the intersection for a red light. Furious with Sally for her careless driving, Joe gets out of his car, walks to Sally's car, and begins pounding the driver's side window with his hands while shouting, "Why don't you watch where you're going?! Someone should knock some sense into you!" Joe hits the window hard enough to cause cracks to form. Sally is frightened that Joe will break through the glass and she will be injured (either by the broken glass or his fists). Battery?
